A bit of background...
Fun Learning is an independent retailer specialising in products to educate, inspire and entertain children from age 4 and up. We have six outlets located in: the Bentall Centre Kingston, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, the Friary Centre in Guildford, on North Street in Brighton, the Glades in Bromley, and Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge Wells.
Fun Learning began in our Kingston store in August 1993 as Fun Learning 5-12 and over the years many things have changed, but one thing has always been with us and that is the need to "take off the wrapping and have a play!" We positively encourage a hands on experience in our shops and want you to be convinced about your purchase. You won’t find any "Do Not Touch" signs here!
In 2000 we opened our second store in Brent Cross Shopping Centre and in 2004 and 2005 we opened concessions within 3 Borders Stores: Cambridge, Leicester and Oxford. We opened our stores in Brighton and Guildford at the end of 2008, as well as launching this ecommerce website. In early 2009 we ended our relationship with Borders, closing all of our concessions. We opened in the Glades in Bromley in April 2009 and Royal Victoria Place in Tunbridge Wells in October 2009. Most recently, we ran a temporary store in Christopher Place, St Albans from November 2009 to the end of January 2010.
Walk into any of our outlets today and the "purplies" (as we call our enthusiastic staff) are opening boxes and going through the contents with customers, explaining the intricacies of any given product and demonstrating the fun there is to be had with it. We love to learn and we love to teach, but most of all we just love to play!
