Build and rebuild extreme rollercoaster tracks with Mega Bloks Magnext iCoaster. This impressive construction toy takes the traditional marble run to another level by combining magnetism, light, and sound. The ridged plastic track clips together and is supported by sturdy adjustable towers. The battery powered magnetic elevator carries the metal balls to the top of your design and releases them onto the track. Watch as the balls demonstrate some serious physics performing jaw dropping stunts that include a loop-de-loop, a mini trampoline and even traveling on the underside of a metal bridge! Incorporate the two light up sensors into your rollercoaster and listen as they trigger the Sound FX music studio unit, adding sound effects to your designs. Choose from a combination of 10 built in effects and 10 musical backgrounds, or use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack lead (sold in electrical stores) to plug any mp3 player into the box and choose your own soundtrack! The instructions include 10 configurations bursting with features and older engineers may be able to configure their own with a bit of tweeking. The manufacturer recommends 6+ for this construction toy and although a 6 year old would definitely enjoy the results we believe it is designed for children with a bit of patience that really enjoy the 'trial and error' engineering aspect required to build successful tracks. 4 x C batteries required (not included).
