A simple, fun experiment to do with children of all ages. Immerse the volcano in water and it will start to fizz. When the outer shell of the volcano has completely dissolved, a tiny dinosaur is revealed. Drop the dino into a fresh beaker of water and watch it grow and expand over the next 72 hours. How does it work? The dinosaur is made out of a combination of polymers. The “thirsty” polymers absorb water and causes the figure to grow and the “unthirsty” polymers don’t absorb any liquid and hold the dinosaurs shape. Packaging may vary.
