Description
Create life-size replicas of the chambers and passageways that ants construct underground. The Ant-O-Sphere includes 4 pods each incorporating 3 magnifying lenses. The 2 red tinted pods replicate darkened underground chambers and the 2 clear daylight pods are used to recreate above ground feeding habitats. Connect the pods with tubing and observe the ants as they go about their daily routines. The full colour guide encourages lots of experimentation. It suggests creating fascinating mini eco-systems by finding worms, cress seeds, brine shrimp and other living things for your pods. You can connect 2 or more Ant-O-Sphere products together to create larger ant worlds. The guide includes information about catching your own ants, or there is a £5 postage charge if you wish to use the enclosed voucher and have ants delivered to your door. Once constructed the ant farm measure approximately 35cm high.
