These pretend cookies are each a letter of the alphabet, colourfully iced!
There are four different games to play, to get children matching and sequencing their letters. The game cards are all visually illustrated so even children who aren’t reading yet can join in. There are four different ways to play:
Quick Cookie! – Players divide the cards between them and race to find all the letters on their cards! The first one to find all the letters wins!
Three in a row – Players take two alphabet sequence cards such as ‘abc’ or ‘pqr.’ Players spin the spinner and either take 1 or 2 cookies out of the jar, trade with another player or put back! The first player to get a matching sequence wins!
Fill in the missing word – Players spin the spinner, collecting letters to try and spell their words. First to spell all their words wins!
Match a beginning sound – Players spin the spinner, collecting letters to try to fill the blank in their words. First to spell 3 blanks and say them aloud wins!
This jar is great for developing young children’s familiarity with identifying letters, matching and sequencing them! You can even use the cookies to spell out words in freeform play! The cookie pieces are made of a durable plastic and can be stored in the plastic jar.
