Open the pages to find a book packed with fun tips on how to write a story. There are lots of ‘fill in the blanks’ and prompts to encourage children to be creative without the fear of coming up blank! The first half of the book focuses on short exercises in imagination and description, playing with creating characters and descriptions of things. As children progress through the book they’ll start writing longer entries. Learning about similes, metaphors, and the structure of stories, being sure to include a beginning, middle and end! Our favourite touch is the ‘word hoard’ at the back of the book, where kids can write all those lovely exciting words they might discover out in the world, to use later!
