Children can assemble a home, piece by piece!
This is a lovely way to encourage an interest in the world and begin to classify everyday objects. The six colourful room cards each have 5 missing objects to be found and pressed into the correct place. This helps children identify where objects should be! Toothpaste in the bathroom, a saucepan in the kitchen and toys in the bedroom (if only). Once the rooms are complete, they can be positioned to form the house. Will the attic be above the bedroom or will it be a bungalow? The chunky boards and pieces allow for lots of extended play ideas, using the boards to play lotto or putting the pieces face down and identifying the correct shape by feel or sight only. This resource has been designed for a Montessori style of teaching, developing creativity, confidence and logical thought.
